Here is a wonderful book for those that want to learn the Haitian Creole language. Teach Yourself Haitian Creole by Yeral E. Ogando is a 10-step book teaching the language of Haitian Creole.  

Author Yeral E. Ogando begins by encouraging the students to study just 20 minutes a day.  Giving a broad vocabulary and the verb tenses, in this way, the short term studying will accumulate to practice that is made perfect everyday.

Offering a MP3 Audio download (from the back bonus page) the author has made learning the Haitian Creole language even easier. The first chapter is designed to learn the Creole alphabet, how to read Creole in any text and how to say good morning. Step-by-step the author encourages learning vocabulary and the practice of speaking with a person whose native tongue is Creole to further learning the language. With plenty of symbols, art and graphs, the author has made this a self-explanatory book that teaches the basis of the Haitian Creole language.  Each part builds upon another.  This is a fun and fast way to teaching oneself this language.

Chapters include: Bonjou - Good Morning, Kouman Ou Ye – How are You, Mwen Konprann Kreyol –I Understand Creole, Nan Biwo-At the Office, Nan Lopital – At the Hospital, Vwayaj Pou Ayiti – Trip to Haiti, Nan Otel La – At the Hotel, Nan Restoran – At the Restaurant, Twa Komante Yo – Three Comments, Kat Atik Espesyal Yo – Four Special Articles, Answers, Glossary and an added Bonus Page, the author presents different scenarios to communicating with the language, such as asking how are you and if one were to go to the hospital, a hotel or restaurant, etc.

This is an exciting, but very practical way to learn the language.  Highly recommended as a study-guide to those that are new to the language as this is an easy and fast-paced way to learn the tenses and vocabulary of the language.

Wake up church. Wake up America. The complacent, the compromising, the slothful, and all who are disobedient to the Lord’s commands.  The book is not meant to put down anyone, but to lift up and re-focus readers on Christian values that many Americans have lost and/or take for granted.

This book takes a look at the position of wealth in America and reminds people that wealth is not to be trusted in, but God who gives to all richly everything to enjoy. With that said, wealth is not meant to be spent on oneself, for purchasing expansive houses or luxury cars, but wealth is meant to help the poor. The author addresses the notion that the poor are somehow being punished for their sins and don’t deserve help. With a historical look at the original twelve apostles, the author brings readers back with scripture to the core values that this country has lived by, which we are quickly losing, as many Americans have forgotten God and living a holy life.

Applying sound biblical teachings and insight, this author has compiled this book to be a reminder to Americans to return back to Christianity. Also, I would go as far to say that every Christian and member of the Body of Christ should read this book. This message is really a “word” from God - and a call to honor God, to also honor all men whom are created in the image of God, revealing an avenue for repentance. (Yes, repentance – another word Americans don’t like to think of which is rarely taught from the pulpit.) Timely in nature, this message speaks to the greed and apathy of a compromising church, as our country seems to be straying farther away from godly policy to man-made policies that are against the core values of America and against God Himself.

The Wise Words of Isaiah

Isaiah 58:9 Then you shall call, and the Lord will answer; you shall cry, and He will say, Here I am. If you take away the yoke from your midst, the pointing of the finger, and speaking wickedness.

When some people pray they picture in their mind that they are at the back of a long line, waiting to present their need to God.  At the front of the line is a man who is asking the Lord for twenty million dollars for a new Christian hospital, and many others seem to have large requests as well.  By the time they get to the front of the line, the Lord will be out of money.  The enemy has distorted the picture of God’s love for them as well as His resources.  This is contrary to Scripture, because Philippians 4:19 says God will supply all your needs.  God wants you to come to Him with confidence, expecting Him to respond.  Realize that there is no limit to the resources God has available.  Depend on His Word, using it to have your needs met!
